In honor of this time in the cycle of the year (at least in the Northern Hemisphere), and the commemoration of those who have passed from this side of the veil to the Other, I wrote a post over on my Tarot blog about my view of the transition and my experience of the loss of being left behind.
Its life lessons apply well beyond the Tarot context, so I will refer you all to that post for the spirit of the experience (also some cool pics of the cosmos!). Go here for the whole post and let me know how it makes you feel and connects to your experience.
Outposts on the Path
Just a feel-good article from the Washington Post’s Optimist section on Sundays. It’s also about death and rebirth, but for structures and places. Check out this cool story here.
My current favorite in the simple-life series from my fav blog, NoSideBar is this article by Melissa Camara Wilkins (everything she writes is awesome, BTW).
A bit of autumn feelness from the exquisite poetic pen of Claudia at Jaywalking the Moon (nice pic, too!).
And last, a ghostly apparition from the constellation Cepheus. Nebula VdB 152 (more science here) is 1,400 light years away, spreading itself out across the star-scape. I like to think of Tom as being out there merging with the dust and brushing past the angels’ starlights. 🙂
