Seeing that the Moon card is one of my birthdate tarot cards, and considering my interest in the cosmos generally, it seemed apropos to take advantage of our early May full moon time to share.
This past Friday afternoon, hubby and I went out to the Padre Island National Seashore just south of Corpus Christi, Texas, for what for him is the challenge of fishing time (although you can see this post’s theme peeking up above the clouds in the distance)…
For me it’s actually an Artist Date, where I enjoy the sights and sounds (constant wave sound and wind) while working on writing projects and taking photographs and little videos with my mobile devices.
So, we’re each soaking up sun, sand, and general inspirations, and later on as the sun washed some pastels over the eastern sky, our Waxing Moon buddy showed up to enjoy the view:
After living in the big city of Houston for the past twenty years, being here is just a soul gift. A real soul gift. Thanks, Ma, for detouring us (more on living with Ma in this post).
And it gets even better. 🙂 On our way back to “civilization” driving along the beach, we stopped to check out the show from the sun going down behind the dunes.
And lastly, once the sun left the scene to our Waxing Moon buddy, we got our last great views of the evening. First the moon gave her best show over the Gulf’s subdued wavelets:
And then we looked at the rest of the sky and saw our sister planet Venus showing off (Jupiter was also visible higher in the sky):
I do hope you get a chance to be somewhere soon where you can see the cosmos. These are indeed the soul gifts that keep us in love with the universe. 🙂

Over at Joshua Becker’s Becoming Minimalist blog, he’s got a great article on something I’d never heard of: the capsule wardrobe. I like this concept. A super-great way to protest rampant consumerism and maintain your one-and-only style. I can see that a truly minimalist wardrobe will be quite useful for camping on the beach.
In the soul realm, Jack Armstrong at Lessons from the Source has been listening to and recording the messages from his own divine Voice. Reassuring, peace-inducing inspiration to enhance the Good in your life every week. 🙂
