We’ve had quite the ride from old home in Houston to a bit of a detour to Corpus Christi, Texas (more on that later) to do some elder care for hubby’s mom. Chaotic holidays, but we are free of suburban home ownership (a very good thing).
I’m learning how connection to the wider world can be a challenge, though. You see, hubby’s mom doesn’t need the internet. Yes, I know, you all thought the internet was indispensable to life. Not so, as it turns out. 😉
When traveling, one looks for balance between using limited data allowances from cell phone providers and the use of free wifi (usually slower than the home version) in public places. But we are actually not traveling, probably not for a couple of months or so at least, so we await reconnection to home wifi on Tuesday at my mom-in-law’s house. All part of the settling-in process for the elder care period of our current journey.
More on the amazing synchronicities of this part of the trek in my next post, and also more pictures when wifi returns. 🙂
